The Holocaust Stamps Project at Foxborough Regional Charter School (Foxboro, MA) has the goal of collecting 11 MILLION cancelled postage stamps to help students and the community-at-large recognize the extraordinary impact of the tragic loss of as many lives during World War II. Since 2009, this Community Service Learning education initiative has served as a springboard to numerous lessons on the dangers of allowing discrimination, prejudice, and any form of bullying to go unchecked. As of Sept. 24, 2014, 2210,491 stamps had been donated from across the USA and from several foreign countries, 38% of goal. Please visit the Project website for much more information.
