Hello,
I’ve inherited my father’s stamp collection. He was a U.S. Mail Letter Carrier for over 30 years and collected stamps throughout his career until he retired in the mid 70s.
Who do you recommend in the Cleveland, Ohio area to appraise Dad’s collection?
Thank you!
First, check out The Virtual Stamp Club’s article, “Help! I Inherited A Collection” at http://www.virtualstampclub.com/inherit.html.
Second, the biggest stamp collecting show of the year in the Cleveland area is next weekend, March 15-17, at the Holiday Inn Strongsville, 15471 Royalton Road in Strongsville. http://www.garfieldperry.org Some of the dealers are from the area, others from outside. You might go to the show and chat with the dealers, and see who might be interested in what is in the collection. One of the dealers there is Wayne Gehret, who is an active buyer of collections, but I’m sure others are interested in buying — again, depending on what’s in the collection.
