I’m surprised that the coil of 3k and 10k didn’t get a major Scott number. They have in the past. The difference between the 100 coil and 3k and 10k aren’t as big anymore?
I thought there was a separate Scott number for the 3/10K issue. It is difficult to find accurate Scott numbers in the year that stamps are issued. Wouldn’t be the first time I have found out the following year that the numbers are not what I had. I try coming here but, as you can see above, there is no listing for the 3/10K BCA stamp at all.
We just post what Scott Publishing releases, of course. The numbers are sometimes changed before the catalogues are published, and sometimes in a subsequent edition of the catalogue or catalogues.
New Issues editor Marty Frankewicz gives his email address on the Linn’s/Amos website, so I think it’s fair to give it here: mfrankevicz@amosmedia.com I’m sure if he hears from enough collectors who feel there is a recognizable difference between the 3K and 10K stamps.
Looks like they did change it. According to Linns this week:
5787 – BCA Pane
5788 – AP Coil of 100
5789 – BCA Coil of 3k and 10k
5789A – BCA Coil of 100
5790 – AP double-sided booklet of 20
5791 – BCA double-sided booklet of 20
Thanks for following up on this, Mary.
