Wall, South Dakota, of course, also has Wall Drug, which probably will be the first day location. I’m thinking about a road trip. I didn’t get a chance to stop there while driving back on east on my GASS road trip this summer.
Wall is named the natural wall rock formations in Badlands National Park.
From what I read, I think the choices in Wall are the drug store or the Grasslands visitors center.
Even if it is the Grasslands Visitor Center, one can still get free ice water and 5 cent coffee at Wall Drug. And see signs advertising Wall Drug for hundreds of miles on I-90 (South Dakota’s answer to South of the Border).
On Chief Standing Bear, Lincoln, Nebraska has a Standing Bear Grounds city park and is completing construction of the Chief Standing Bear High School, scheduled to open this year.
The landmark Chief Standing Bear case was heard in Omaha, Nebraska, not Lincoln.
