Announced November 1, 2021:
The two nondenominated Butterfly Garden Flowers stamps are intended for bulk mailings by authorized nonprofit organizations. Each stamp features one of two flowers that butterflies love to visit: scabiosas or cosmos. Inspired by block-printed textile and pattern design, the artist hand-carved the images into linoleum blocks. After inking the blocks, she pressed them onto paper, scanned the images and added color digitally. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps with original art by Rigel Stuhmiller.
The Scott catalogue numbers for these stamps are
5664 (5¢) Butterfly Garden Flowers coil stamp – Cosmos
5665 (5¢) Butterfly Garden Flowers coil stamp – Scabiosas
a. Pair, #5664-5665
Additional information will be posted below the line, with the newest at the top.

Updated December 25th:
Linn’s Stamp News reports this issue will be released Tuesday, February 1, with no “headquarters” first-day ceremony. The first-day city is Pine Mountain, Georgia.
OK. How it can be announced on November 21, 2022? Same issue is with the U.S. flag posting. Is there a way to fix it?
November 1, 2022.*
Pretty much all of the posts before January 11, 2022 are marked as “announced on November 1, 2022”.🤔
That’s the special Time Machine software we moderators use! 🙂 Actually, it was a template so I could create more than a dozen entries quickly, and for almost two months, no one noticed. I think I’ve fixed them all now. Thanks.
In theory, I noticed them on day one, but then I read that your site doesn’t bear responsibility for inaccurate information, hence “subject to change”, so I thought maybe it needs to be updated via download. Knowing that updates for any websites come every month at maximum, I decided to wait, but as time went by, I decided something must be done.😀 I have eyes for typos and everything.
Why aren’t these stamps listed for sale on the USPS store web site?
Good question. I thought it might be because it’s not a letter-rate stamp, but I couldn’t find it either. I did find the first day covers for it. I’ll ask.
I’m told by a knowledgeable collector that you’ll need to call Stamp Fulfillment Services (1-844-737-7826) to order them. They are not on the website because they are for nonprofit use.
Do you know if USPS is offering “strips of 25” for collectors?
Yes, strips of 25 from both 3K and 10K rolls.
strip of 25 from 3K roll is 750803
strip from 10k roll is 761603
there does not appear to be a way to differentiate the two except by the position marking in every 10th position on the back side of the coil strip. The 3K roll has a 4 digit position number while the 10K roll has a 5 digit position number on every 10th stamp
Sorry for a stupid question. Which stamp is the “Scabiosas”?
The Scabiosas is shown on the stamp with the 2 dark pink flowers. It has be hybridized, like many flowers, into a variety of colors. I think its original color was light purple.
