APS Affiliates Committee chairman Jim McDevitt won a number of awards for
his exhibits "The U.S. Coast Guard in Philately" (Silver Bronze) and
"Introducing the USS Maine (SSBN-741)" (Bronze). Here, he receives the "Most Popular Exhibit" award from president John Hotchner for "Introducing the USS Maine (SSBN-741)."
Ron Brigham won both the Grand Award at STAMPSHOW '98 and the Champion of Champions Award as the best philatelic exhibit of 1997-98.
His STAMPSHOW '98 exhibit was "The Dominion of Canada:The Large Queens,
1868-1897." The exhibit which won the C of C was "The Province of Canada:
The Pence and Cents Issues 1851-1868," which qualified for the
Champion of Champions competition by winning the Grand at STAMPSHOW '97.

Here's Ron Brigham accepting his Grand Award for his 1998 exhibit from chief judge Bud Sellers and APS president John Hotchner.
...and Brigham then poses, reluctantly, with the new Champion of Champions
trophy. He doesn't get to keep the trophy, by the way: His name will be
inscribed on it along with other past C of C winners, and the trophy will
be on display at APS Headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.

Earlier in the show, the trophy was on display near the exhibits.
