Fantasy NASCAR Stamps

Virtual Stamp Club members have been speculating that the U.S. Postal Service will issue a stamp or, more likely, a set of stamps for NASCAR, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.

Stock car racing is the most popular sport in the U.S. The USPS wants to sell stamps. And there have been few stamps for auto racing.

Cuv Evanson is a first day cover cachetmaker with a deft hand at computer art programs. Mention an interesting stamp subject to him, and he’ll often whip up some stamp designs for it…often with a touch of whimsy or sarcasm.

And so we present Cuv’s proposed NASCAR stamp designs.

Now, we have to caution you: As far as we know, Cuv doesn’t work for the USPS, and doesn’t have any contact with the agency other than buying stamps at his Midwestern local post office. We also don’t know that the USPS is actually planning any NASCAR stamps.
