OTTAWA, ON, Nov. 15, 2024 \/PRNewswire\/ — The Canadian Union of Postal Workers \"\"<\/a>(CUPW) has announced it intends to begin a national strike on Friday, November 15 at 12:01 a.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Canada Post’s operations will shut down during a national strike, affecting millions of Canadians and businesses across the country.<\/p>\n

Customers should expect delays<\/strong><\/span>
\nCustomers will experience delays due to the strike activity. Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the national strike, and some post offices will be closed. Service guarantees will be impacted for items already in the postal network. No new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.<\/p>\n

All mail and parcels in the postal network will be secured and delivered as quickly as possible on a first-in, first-out basis once operations resume. However, a national strike of any length will impact service to Canadians well after the strike activity ends. Shutting down facilities across the country will affect Canada Post’s entire national network. Processing and delivery may take some time to fully return to normal.<\/p>\n

OTTAWA, ON, le 15 nov. 2024 \/CNW\/ – Le Syndicat des travailleurs et travailleuses des postes (STTP) a annonc\u00e9 son intention de d\u00e9clencher une gr\u00e8ve nationale le vendredi 15 novembre \u00e0 00 h 01 (ET).<\/p>\n

Postes Canada cessera ses activit\u00e9s pendant une gr\u00e8ve nationale, ce qui touchera les entreprises et des millions de personnes au pays.<\/p>\n

Il faut s’attendre \u00e0 des retards<\/strong><\/span>
\nIl y aura des retards en raison de la gr\u00e8ve. Le courrier et les colis ne seront ni trait\u00e9s ni livr\u00e9s durant la gr\u00e8ve nationale et certains bureaux de poste seront ferm\u00e9s. Les garanties de service seront touch\u00e9es pour les articles d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans le r\u00e9seau postal. Aucun nouvel article ne sera accept\u00e9 jusqu’\u00e0 la fin de l’arr\u00eat de travail \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle nationale.<\/p>\n

Toutefois, une gr\u00e8ve nationale, peu importe la dur\u00e9e, aura une incidence sur le service bien apr\u00e8s la fin des activit\u00e9s de gr\u00e8ve.
