On the road again.

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

If you're traveling this summer, whether on business or
vacation, you may want to expand your collecting horizons
by visiting a stamp show or local shop. Collecting
preferences vary in different parts of the country, so
what's scarce in your area could be easy to find somewhere
else.

The stamp newspapers have listings of upcoming shows, and
there are several calendars on the Internet, too.

To find a local stamp store, look in the Yellow Pages under
"stamps for collectors." Here's a tip, though: If the
business calls itself "stamps and coins," it's run by a
stamp collector. If it's "COINS and stamps," coins are the
priority.

The American Philatelic Society website lists both shows
and local stamp dealers. It's at stamps-dot-org. Those
are only major shows, though, and many of the dealers
listed don't have stores.

You can find a more complete list of shows at
www.delphi-dot-com-slash-stamps, but it only lists them for
that weekend.

And that's stamp collecting this week.

I'm Lloyd de Vries, CBS News.
