Stamps for Ziggy Stardust
The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

And one of those "changes" is that for the first time, Britain's Royal Mail will dedicate
an entire stamp issue to a single cultural artist — David Bowie.
Six of the ten stamps will show album covers spanning his long career, while the other
four stamps show him performing live at different points in his life.
Missing from the album covers is "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust." That 1972 design
was in a set of stamps featuring album covers issued seven years ago.
An influential rock musician and songwriter from the 1960s well into this decade, Bowie
changed with the times, but always with a splash of style. He was also an actor, both in
movies and on-stage.
Bowie died a year ago at the age of 69 from liver cancer… two days after releasing his
last album.
The stamps will be released March 14th, but can be pre-ordered now.
