One of collector Charles Verge’s exhibits is of first day covers...

...on  a specific issue...

“My exhibit is on the Dental Health stamp ... Association.” RUNS :08

Now, most collectors’ subject specialties have some affinity to them — a profession,
another hobby, an interest — but not this time.

“I received a thematic collection of Dentistry... friend of mine.” RUNS :09

The Toronto resident judges other collectors’ exhibits, and decided to try his own
hand at first day covers.

“It’s difficult to try to convince people if you don’t know ... an exhibit together.”

So he looked around to see what he had for a first day cover exhibit.

“I had a few nice things in the thematic collection...   gold medals (laughs) :06
   ....I’m delighted! :07

And Verge has no other relationship to dentistry.

“Except spending half my time, y’know, in the dentist chair, no.”
